Mason is conducting operations in the Persian Gulf as a part of Destroyer Squadron Two Six (DESRON 26) and the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Strike Group (CSG). The Truman CSG and CVW-3 are on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
