The reservists breakfasted with the district mayors of Keukoeln and were welcomed to the city by Major General Albert Watson II, U.S. Commander, Berlin, who briefed them of the U.S. Army’s mission in Germany. For lunch they were guests of the Third Battle Group, 6th Infantry, of the U.S. Army’s Berlin Brigade. During the day, they toured West and East Berlin, visited the Army’s tank park and witnessed a weapons demonstration. The Reservists are crewmen of four Naval Reserve Training Ships which were activated in the fall. The ships, all destroyers: USS Hunt; USS Millar; USS Robinson; and USS Remey.
