The "house with a canopy" type of Valvoline Station had a room for the attendant, bathrooms and gasoline pumps, but no service bays. This style was built during the 1920's. (Wisconsin Historical Society) Note the streetcar tracks and wires curving from Park St. onto Lakeside St. The picture was taken from a gas station across Park St. on the triangle lot formed by the intersection of Fish Hatchery Rd. and Park. 999 S.
