Staff members from BMEDDAC clinics in Ansbach, Hohenfels, Grafenwoehr, Stuttgart and Vilseck joined event organizers from BMEDDAC headquarters for an evening of holiday cheer and friendship, entertainment and dining. The event was attended by more than 300 BMEDDAC staff members, friends and family as well as German dignitaries and off-post local national healthcare representatives. The annual event includes the observance and celebration of time-honored military traditions, honoring fallen comrades, toasts and remembrance of fellow Soldiers serving overseas, as well as promoting pride and cohesion across the organization. The evening is also a unique opportunity for the greater BMEDDAC family - spread out over two German states and in 5 separate locations - to come together and socialize. Brigadier General (Ret.) Rhonda Cornum, PhD, MD, and who previously served as U.S. Army Assistant Surgeon General for Force Projection, was the guest of honor and keynote speaker at this year's event, which was held in the medieval city of Nuremberg.
