On 2 Jan 2016, 10:01 AM at City Square Mall, Singapore, (Photo Attached) I noticed how a cleaner vacuuming the floors had the wire/cable extended without any signage. Even though it may be difficult to place a signage, I hope that the cable for all future vacuum cleaner’s usage in the offices and public space could be of a bright colour, e.g. orange in colour. This is bright colour cable idea is actually in use in Melbourne, Australia. This cannot be patented. I hope that you will consider recommending this to employers for Workplace and Public Safety. Imagine someone you know, your children, your wife carrying a baby tripped onto the black cable due to the inconspicuous nature of its colour and thus killing your baby and your wife. Alternatively, a bright coloured cable will be a good selling point to sell vacuum cleaners. Even though the above may be impossible to implement now but perhaps this feedback could be stored in your knowledge system until such time may come where a new project is needed to be championed to increase your salary increments and your bonuses. 5 January 2016 Workplace Safety and Health Council 1500 Bendemeer Road, #04-01 Ministry of Manpower Services Centre, Singapore 339946 Attention: Mr Heng Chiang Gnee, Deputy Chairman City Developments Limited 36 Robinson Road #20-01 City House Singapore 068877 Attention: Mr. Kwek Leng Beng Chairman RE: Bright coloured e.g. Orange Cables needed for Vacuum Cleaners or other electronic equipment use in public to prevent trip n fall hazard Dear Mr Heng & Mr Kwek I hope this letter finds you well.
