Amsterdam Police Department are urging city residents to make sure their homes are locked, even if they are leaving for a short period of time, and to report any suspicious activity right away due to recent burglaries in the city. Burglary 1 September 23, 2015 on Coolidge Road where a resident came home and noticed someone had been in the house. Cash was missing. Burglary 2 Later the same day, a business on Forest Avenue reported that someone had taken a cash register containing cash. Burglary 3 Another burglary was reported on Center Street. Clothing, video game systems and video games were allegedly missing. Burglary 4 On September 23, 2015 a burglary was reported on Charles Lane. The resident states two televisions, a laptop, iPad and other electronics missing. Burglary 5 A resident on Guy Park Avenue reported Thursday October 1, 2015 that he came home and found someone had entered his residence and that food was missing.
