He is a descendant of the couple who are pictured in the Allison Wedding Photograph titled 'Eakin & White' (PRONI Ref: D2886/W/Wedding/6). The certificate confirms that the couple were married on 15th December 1908 in the Parish Church, Warrenpoint in the County of Down. The groom, William White, has the profession of 'Engine Driver' and his address is given as 'Saw Mill, Victoria Falls, Rodesia, S. Africa'. His father, John Westley White is recorded as being a gardener by trade. The bride, Francis Elizabeth Eakin, is from 'The Square, Warrenpoint' and her father, Christopher Eakin, was a shoemaker. Witnesses to the marriage were William Brew Burns and Mina Allen.
