FELLOWS who has been long identified with the business of Saint John will leave this morn. by the I.C.R. for Halifax, from which he will embark for Europe where he will spend the next two or three years. Mr. Fellow, a native of Bridgetown, N.S., has lived mainly in Saint John since 1837. He commenced the druggist business in partnership with his father in 1847 on King St., but was burnt out the following year, losing an amount equal to the capital with which he had started. On the following day he opened again on Foster's Corner and in 1853 erected the fine stone building on Germain St. to which he removed the following year. He reopened at Foster's Corner in 1863 and continued in business until 1876 when he established a business place in Montreal and another in New York. He now proposed to make London his headquarters. He imported and improved some of the best Jersey cattle. He personally discovered the manganese mine at Upham (Kings Co.) now worked by Mr. MARKHAM.
