Admittedly my experience was coloured by the fantastic weather we had - it would have been very grim in the pouring rain and cold - but Glasgow is a really, really beautiful place. I'm reminded of some lyrics from that eighties gem of a song "I've never met a nice South African" which contains the lyrics "I know a place in Glasgow which is rife with daffodillies. I've met a man from Katmandu who claimed to have two willies." The truth of it is that Glasgow is drowning in green space and all the stuff we saw was in very good order.
