In July our most frequent question was “what are you doing?” , now as October ends we get more “so you’re carving canoes?”. But, as the fall colors wain, so does work on the dugout canoes. Great progress was made this summer and the canoes are nearing completion. The canoes are being “rested” for the winter at Hartwick Pines. Work will commence next Spring when the weather warms up. Both canoes will be finished for the Canoe Festival in Grayling at the end of July!!
