I found this Queensland Parliamentary Debate transcript for the Legislative Assembly on 9 August 1921, and within the transcript it mentions the Federal Government sending Mr. Gullett (an Australian war correspondent, journalist and director of the Australian War Memorial) to research the Upper Burnett lands with a view to the area becoming a settlement for returned soldiers from WW1. www.parliament.qld.gov.au/documents/hansard/1921/1921_08_...
