Keywords: It’s not every day the commander of Installation Management Command comes to your installation to personally thank you and recognize you for your accomplishments. This was the case however for three civilian and two military members of the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Jan. 13 when Lt. Gen. Kenneth R. Dahl, IMCOM commander, stopped at the Rheinlander Community Club on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, thanked them for their work performance and presented each a commander’s coin. Those recognized were: Tawny Jimeno, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation; Michelle Irwin, FMWR; Erich Deffner, Directorate of Public Works; Staff Sgt. Andrew B. Banyi, Directorate of Emergency Services; and Staff Sgt. Kristopher D. Norville, Religious Service Office. This was Dahl’s first visit to U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz as IMCOM commander. Other stops on his visit to the garrison included the 4th Infantry Division Mission Command Element on Smith Barracks, the European Activity Set operations at Coleman Worksite, The Exchange’s future logistics hub at Germersheim Army Depot, and the construction site of the Rhein Ordnance Barracks Medical Center Replacement project. Dahl took command of IMCOM, from Lt. Gen. David D. Halverson Nov. 3.
