Keywords: Picture below shows emergency alert string coiled by (anyone but doctors and management) when i enter the toilet. This is not the first and only time i had noted the emergency alert string being coiled up. Imagine this: You are alone in the toilet and are not restricted in bed or given order to rest in bed or under any particular supervision. Imagine that you had suffered a heart attack (or whatever ailment) that caused you to collapse to the ground. It only takes from a few minutes to ten minutes to kill you from your heart attack. No one comes into the toilet to discover that you are in agony. You do not have the strength to pull yourself from the ground and stand. How would you be able to save yourself if the "Pull for help" emergency device is coiled up at chest height and out of your reach? Answer: You cannot reach the string at all from the ground. Would extending the emergency device range from the chest to ground level cater for a wider range of emergency situations? Answer: Yes. In emergency situations, early medical intervention would mean saving a life or otherwise the loss of a life. Better communication needs to be made to all level of the hospital staff including the toilet cleaners. What if the above scenario happen to your loved ones? Now is not the time to point fingers to the cleaner, cleaner's management, #TanTockSengHospitalSingapore's management, nurse, other scapegoats etc. Look to the future and think of the cost and risk of losing human lives (reduction of people to pay taxes to government and to work for Elites during their productive lifespan) Is it worth ignoring this observation? retail melbourne australia
