It was raised into position by means of a Jury mast, half the length of the main mast, and as the Jury went down, so the big stick was raised. You will see this exactly in the large photo. This station connects Perth and Adelaide and we have even spoken to Geraldton from here. Geraldton mast is 180 ft high, 30 tons.
