| Keywords: Juvinile Mantid left side.JPG en What appears to be a juvenile mantid that I caught while working at a day camp The images are very blurry so I'll explain the features I saw to give a better understanding of this creature's appearance to aid in its future placement in an article Its third maybe fourth segment is a darker red than the rest of the animal and its second segment has a white underside The first pair of legs had what appeared to be a mantis' 'claws' and the third segment is similarly shaped to a Mantis' abdomen Overall the creature is a rusty red I have labeled it a juvenile because I found a pair of barely developed wings which it did not use to try and escape on its back Own ArchabacteriaNematoda 2009-July-7 Not likely published somewhere else though pictures of the animal itself may be 45 32 48 6 N 123 0 11 8 W Unidentified Mantodea | ||||
