Librarian, Law Collection 'Kenneth Parsons, who retired at the end of the session, joined the Library in 1963 after a varied career. Having obtained the University of London Diploma in Librarianship, his first appointment was as an Assistant Librarian at University College. He then spent three years as Deputy Librarian University College, Khartoum, which was developing rapidly, before returning to Europe in 1954 to take up the post of Librarian (Classification) at the headquarters of the Food and Agricultural Organisation in Rome. This experience qualified him admirably for his appointment here in December 1963 as an Assistant Librarian with special responsibility for our extensive collections of the documents of international organizations.
