A fight broke out between two students at Amsterdam High School. Then a fight broke out between their parents Montgomery County Sheriff's responded along with the Amsterdam Police Department. The fight broke out before lunchtime between two students, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office . When their parents came to pick up the students, they began to fight, as well, deputies said. Deputies identified one of the students as Ismael Roman, 16, who was charged with disorderly conduct. Deputies said he received a cut to his head during the fight. The other student, an unidentified 14-year-old, was not charged. According to the Sheriff's Office, the fight was first called in by a parent claiming her son had been assaulted by another student in the hallway. While authorities were reviewing surveillance footage at the school, Esmael Roman III, 36, showed up at the school in response to the fight. When police approached him, he made his way toward the exit. At the doors, he saw Luis I. Valles, the father of the other student in the fight, entering the school. Roman III immediately ran toward Luis and punched him in the face, according to police, and a fight began outside the main entrance. Sheriff Deputies did not specify the relationship of Esmael Roman III to the students in the fight, but he shares an address with Ismael Roman. Roman III was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment in the second degree. Yesley Z. Rodriguez, 33, mother of Ismael Roman, was charged with obstruction of governmental administration for allegedly refusing to comply with police orders to leave the area and impeding the arrests of Roman III and Valles.
