View looking NW towards Wickaninnish Beach and the Wickaninnish Inn, located off the Tofino-Ucluelet Highway on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Now within the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (Parks Canada). The original Wickaninnish Inn operated from 1964 to 1977. In 1989, the Federal Government of Canada opened the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre which provided a place for visitors to learn about the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (established 1971) though exhibits, films and special events.
