It's a bigger event than it sounds, and there was plenty of tin on offer. There is an always awkward moment at shows like this when you realise that you've transitioned from 'cars that my Dad drove' to 'cars that I drove', and I have owned at least two of the vehicles on show! (For trivia fans that was a Mk5 Cortina 1.6 Crusader and a Honda CB250N Superdream). This one though is a memorable car from my childhood. Triumph took their enormously successful Herald and dropped in a straight six two litre engine to produce the Vitesse. I remember it vividly, particularly as it had very distinctive rear lights. It was terrific to see three of them today, but this one was the right colour. :) This morning I went out with my old man up to Dave's where we all walked along to the Lydiate Classic Car Show.
