I'm not sure what the circumstances are but it looks like the bus has had to swerve to avoid some kind of collision. There are always exceptions with any large body of people, but I've generally found the standard of bus driving in Liverpool to be very, very high so I'm happy to assume without evidence to the contrary that the bus driver did the right thing. Unfortunately it wedged onto both a small bollard and the base of a relatively small tree that it knocked over, so it must have been quite a jolt for those on board! The bus looks in really good shape, so Optare clearly build 'em strong! The recovery process is quite involved though, and the recovery rig that got sent out is MASSIVE! Hopefully the road should be cleared soon, so well done to everyone involved in the clean up and I hope HTL get their bus back on the road soon.
