Veterans were notified by mail and sent a certificate similar to the one later in this photo stream. This certificate offered the land grant of 160 acres for an administration fee of $5.00. The presentation of the certificate to any Crown Lands Agent started the process of selecting the land parcel. Veterans had 2 years after receipt of the certificate to present same to an Agent.
