Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt - July 22, 2022: Tomb KV6 is the final resting place of the 20th-Dynasty Pharaoh Ramesses IX. However, the archaeological evidence and the quality of decoration it contains indicates that the tomb was not finished in time for Ramesses's death but was hastily rushed through to completion, many corners being cut, following his demise.\n\nIt is located in the central part of the Valley. Running a total distance of 105 metres into the hillside, the tomb begins with a gate and a shallow descending ramp. Following on from the ramp come three successive stretches of corridor. The first of these has four side chambers – two on each side – but none of these are decorated or finished. KV6 has been open since antiquity, as can be seen by the graffiti left on its walls by Roman and Coptic visitors.
Yazd, Iran - June 5, 2014: Tourists are walking outside the Alexander's Prison at Yazd. This 15th century dome school is known as Alexander's Prison because of a references to this apparently place in Hafez poem. The story goes that during the Alexander reign, a number of persian resisting his domination. He had them arrested and on his way through Yazd imprisoned them ia a dungeon which refers to a deep well in the courtyard of this building.

The Giza Necropolis is a large area near Giza, a suburb of Cairo that has many tombs and burial sites. It is also where you can find the famous Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and more. The name comes from the ancient Greek word nekropolis, which literally means “city of the dead”. The Giza Complex was once near the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis, and the Giza plateau is where a number of pharaohs, queens, and nobles of the Fourth Dynasty of ancient Egypt were buried. All three of Giza's pyramids and their elaborate burial complexes were built from roughly 2550 to 2490 B.C. The pyramids were built by Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

Ancient brick tombs in the Fatimid Cemetery dating back to the 9th century in Aswan, Egypt
Entrance tunnel to the South Tomb located close to Djoser step pyramid I Saqqara. The South tomb is located at the southwestern corner of the King Djoser funeral complex, dating to the 3rd Dynasty, Old Kingdom period. This magnificent complex is the oldest stone building of the ancient world. Basically, it was named the “Southern Tomb'” following its discovery by the English archaeologist Cecil Malaby Firth in 1928.
