Arch Canyon is a picturesque location located along the Ajo Mountain Drive in the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona, near the border with Mexico. The Ajo Mountain Drive is a scenic loop road that offers visitors the opportunity to explore the diverse landscapes and natural features of the desert. Arch Canyon is named for the natural arch formation that can be found within the canyon. The arch itself is a stunning geological feature created by erosion over thousands of years. It is composed of ancient volcanic rock and stands as a testament to the forces of nature that have shaped the landscape of the region. Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riviera coastline, southeast of Genoa city. Pastel-colored houses, high-end boutiques and seafood restaurants fringe its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A path leads from the Piazzetta to Castello Brown, a 16th-century fortress and museum with art exhibitions and panoramic views of the town and the Ligurian Sea.

Camelback Mountain is a prominent feature of the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona. It is part of the McDowell Mountain Range and is composed primarily of Precambrian granite. The mountain has been weathered by rain, wind and other forces of nature over millions of years. This erosion has given the mountain a distinctive hump-back “camel” shape thus leading to its name. The area around Camelback Mountain is home to a variety of cacti, including saguaros, as well as a range of other desert plants and animals, such as jackrabbits, rattlesnakes, and Gila monsters. The mountain's summit provides a critical habitat for a number of bird species, including hawks, vultures, and eagles. This view of the surrounding area was photographed from the Echo Canyon trail on Camelback Mountain near Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Cuckoo wasp (aka emerald wasp) on Queen Anne's lace (aka wild carrot) in summer, Connecticut. A small, brilliantly colored, parasitic wasp that lays its eggs in the nests of other insects. So named because cuckoos (i.e., birds) are brood parasites as well.
