The Gretto No.20 of Yugang Grettoes is the famous gretto in Yungang, which is the symbol of Yungang Grettoes. The statue in center is Sakyamuni Buddha (in the picture).

They are excellent examples of rock-cut architecture and one of the three most famous ancient Buddhist sculptural sites of China. The others are Longmen and Mogao.

Grotto No.18 was obviously f a little bit Gandhara style, which was the blending  western and eastern cultures. Grotto No.18 was the most luxurious grotto in Yungang. The face of statue in center was sculptured according to Emperor Taiwu of Northern Wei (Tuoba Tao).  The kasaya with thousands of Buddhas was memorized  the buddhists he killed in his region.

Longmen Grottoes with Buddha's figures are Starting with the Northern Wei Dynasty in 493 AD. It is one of the four notable grottoes in China.
The Longmen Grottoes, located on bothsides of the Yi River to the south of the ancient capital of Luoyang, Henan province, comprise more than 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch. These contain almost 110,000 Buddhist stone statues, more than 60 stupas and 2,800 inscriptions carved on steles. The grottoes and niches of Longmen contain the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316-907). These works, entirely devoted to the Buddhist religion, represent the high point of Chinese stone carving. Here is the beautifl stone carvings of all kinds of Buddist figures.
