$Tot 30-39mm, Ab 25-32mm, HW 19-23mm.\nOur most delicate Lestes, which is normally easily separated by its statue and coloration, although some Iberian populations recall L. barbarous.\nHabitat: A wide variety of seasonally dry shallow and reedy waters in the south, becoming more critical in the north-west, where it is most abundant in heath and bog lakes with peat moss (Sphagnum) and rushes (Juncus).\nFlight Season: Northern populations mostly emerge in July, flying into November.\nDistribution: Widespread in Europe, although seldom the dominant Lestes species.
