Rome, Italy: Trajan's Market - the brick building, which is now mostly viewed as an ancient multi-purpose building, was built during the time of Emperor Trajan. It has six floors and the building was designed in a semicircle. The construction was probably started under Domitian (81-96 AD) and then continued and completed under Trajan (98-117 AD). The Trajan's Markets were created in 100–110 AD in connection with the Trajan's Forum, but as an independent complex. The architect named is Apollodorus of Damascus, who was also responsible for the Trajan Forum.

An impressive and detailed view from below of the Theatre of Marcellus, located between the Jewish Ghetto, the Tiber River and the Campidoglio (Roman Capitol), in the historic core of Rome. Built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the southern area of the ancient Campus Martius and Circus Flaminius, the Theater of Marcellus is still partially preserved and over the centuries has been used as a base for subsequent civil constructions.
