The Karen-Paduang Long Neck tribe are a Tibetan-Burmese ethnic group who are originally from Myanmar/Burma and not  native to Thailand. These are refugees from Myanmar escaping persecution. While enduring hardships and having limited rights as refugees, this tribe like this mother and child are content, gracious and very warm and inviting to visitors.
