Clocktower and head of a ram in a column at Offenbach's old slaughterhouse. The complex, constructed under the supervision of the architect Alfred Röpert, was built between 1900 and 1904 in a style which reminds north-German architecture. The designed was retaken to construct Zurich's slaughterhouse five years later. Once the most modern slaughterhouse in Europe, it was closed at the beginning of the 1990s. Nowadays it hosts the Achat Plaza hotel and several offices. The complex is classified as industrial monument, and is one of the most representative industrial buildings preserved in Offenbach.
