An amphitheater of columns carved into the rock. Bryce Canyon National Park is an American national park located in southwestern Utah. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon, a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos.

Bryce Canyon National Park in Southwestern Utah is famous for the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. These hoodoos are tall skinny shafts of rocks that protrude from the bottom of arid basins. At Bryce Canyon, hoodoos range in size from that of a human, to heights exceeding a 10-story building.

Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon, but rather a collection of giant natural amphitheatres along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southwestern Utah. It is well known for its large amount off bizarre rock spires and pinnacles known as Hoodoos, which formed from the erosion of the limestone of the Claron Formation. Legend though claims that these pinnacles were people, who were so bad and evil that the Coyote turned them to stone.
