London, England 1800s: The Charing Cross Hotel, designed by Edward Middleton Barry,] opened 1865 gave the station an ornate frontage in the French Renaissance style and extended along Villiers Street. It quickly became popular.

Three ships in Gatun Locks, one at each of the three levels used to raise ships from the Atlantic Ocean into Gatun Lake which crosses Panama. The farthest ship is a container ship, near right a tanker and left a cruise ship. Haze around ships is caused by diesel exhaust from ships' engines.
