Karanlk Kilise, or the Dark Church, was a monastic compound built in the 11th century.  It is decorated with scenes from the New Testament:  Christ Pantocrator, Nativity, Adoration of the Magi, First Bath, Last Supper, Betrayal of Judas, Crucifixion, Anastasis. Trabzon, Turkey-July 25, 2018: Frescoes on the ceiling and walls in Trabzon Hagia Sophia Mosque. The frescoes contain stories and figures from Christianity. The building, which was built as a church in the 1200s, is still used as a mosque today. This building has been used as a mosque since 2013.
