The Historic Kiskatinaw Bridge is located about 30 km (mile 21 of the old Alaska Highway) north of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. It was built in 1942-1943 as part of the pioneer road for military traffic from Dawson Creek to Big Delta, Alaska, USA during WWII, to link the US territory of Alaska to the rest of North America by road.\nIt is three-span timber truss bridge, 162m long, 30m high, with a nine-degree curve, a marvel of engineering back then. The bridge has been closed to traffic since June 2021 after a landslide. A new modern bridge was built upstream over the Kiskatinaw River in the 1970s, when the highway was rerouted.
