Basal leaves in a lax rosette, elliptical, broadest above the middle, scarcely stalked; stem leaves lanceolate, pointed. Flowers bright gray-blue, saucer shaped, 3-5mm; calyx closed in fruit, the tube with numerous hooked hairs. Nutlets dark brownish-black.\nHabitat: Dry places, arable soils, dunes, to 2000m.\nFlowering Season: April-October.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except Spitsbergen.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands.
