Hanging bridge over the Barra Velha lagoon on the coast of the state of Santa Catarina in south of Brazil

This evocative photograph captures the weathered charm of an old suspension bridge, a rustic passage woven into the heart of a forest. The strong lines of the cables draw the eye across the wooden planks, leading to the lush greenery that envelops both sides of the bridge. The dramatic clouds in the sky add a sense of depth and timelessness to this tranquil woodland scene.

The famous vineyard, terraced, Hermitage Hill stands behind the town of Tain L'Hermitage in the Northern Rhone Wine Region of Cotes du Rhone, south of Lyon. The hill is seen by some as the spiritual home of the Syrah grape variety. The famous wine region of Crozes-Hermitage encompasses 11 communes in the Drôme region on the left bank of the Rhône, to the north, south and east of the town of Tain-lHermitage. The vines grow on the south west side of a steep granite hill facing the afternoon sun. With approximately 345 acres of vines, with a terroir stony, soil composed mostly of granite and gravels is responsible for Hermitage producing 730,000 bottles of mostly red wines, annually. At the top of the hill, the Chapelle Saint-Christophe can be seen, a small chapel where it is said that a hermit once lived - leading to the origins of the Hermitage nomenclature.The footbridge, La Passerelle Seguin,was designed by Marc-Seguin and was the first suspension bridge of it's type across the River Rhone. It links Tournon-sur-Rhône to Tain-l'Hermitage in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, region of France

The Albert Bridge designed and built by Rowland Mason Ordish in 1873, connecting Chelsea on the north bank of the Thames river to Battersea on the south bank. On the left side, the statue of the Atalanta (credited as “Chelsea Embankment statue”) by the famous british sculptor Francis Derwent Wood (1871–1926). West Virginia, USA - May 23, 2022: A tourist and car travel along the reconstructed Fayette Station Bridge (Tunney Hunsaker Bridge) located at the bottom of the gorge that crosses the New River. This 40 minute drive was the only way to cross the river until the New River Gorge Bridge was built in 1977.

Driving in NZ. After stopping in Invercargill and Bluff, I was heading over to the Fiordland National Park. A few stops in between were necessary, simply to enjoy the environment...
