A woman walks through a large circle.\nChinowa-kuguri involves passing through a ring several meters in diameter woven with grass called thatch near the torii gate on the approach to the shrine.Passing through it purifies the mind and body, wards off misfortune, and prays for good health, warding off evil, and the safety of the family.Go through the figure 8 three times.It is held around June 30th and December 31st at many shrines.\n<Procedure>\n・After entering the shrine, wash your hands and mouth at the chozuya. In front of Chinowa, bow to the main shrine.\n・Start with your left foot and go counterclockwise while stepping over the ring with your left foot.Go around the left side of the circle, return to the front and bow once.\n・Next, start with your right foot and go clockwise while stepping over the ring with your right foot.After going around the right side of the circle, return to the front and bow once.\n・ Once again, turn counterclockwise from the left foot.Stand in front of the circle and bow. At the end, go through the ring and visit the worship hall.
