After its abandonment, it was slowly absorbed into the jungle, before being rediscovered hundreds of years later.\nDespite extensive excavations in the past decades, archeologist estimate that less than 10% of the site has been explored so far, and that over a thousand buildings are still buried.

Panorama View of Edzná. Edzná is an archaeological site of the Maya in Edzná Valley in the state of Campeche in the west of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. The developed technology for the disposal of rainwater and the extraordinary facade of the so-called 'palace pyramid' make it one of the most interesting Maya cities. In Edzná located on an area of about 25 km² numerous temples, administrative buildings and palaces. The architecture was influenced by the styles Puuc, Petén and Chenes.
Fujian Tulou is a property of 46 buildings constructed between the 15th and 20th centuries over 120 km in south-west of Fujian province, inland from the Taiwan Strait. Set amongst rice, tea and tobacco fields the Tulou are earthen houses.
