One Common Sea Cucumber (Bohadschia graeffei) is feeding on the coral reef.  It is standing up to extract passing plankton from the sea.  Sea cucumbers feed on algae, microscopic animals and waste. The great barrier reef
Knotted Fan Coral Melithaea ochracea occurs in the tropical Indo-West Pacific in a depth range from 3-18m. The main skeletal stalk and branches of  this Gorgonian Sea Fan are jointed, with swellings at the larger joints. The internodes are composed of hard, calcareous material while the joints are flexible and made of a horny material. The white Polyps are extended, as they are feeding. On the top branch of the upper Gorgonian Sea Fan there ist a Longnose Hawkfish Oxycirrhites typus, at the bottom a Shadowfin Soldierfish Myripristis adusta and a Sixbar Angelfish Pomacanthus sexstriatus. A large Hump Coral Porites lutea at the right side. Near famous German Channel, Palau, Micronesia, 7°6'40.92 N 134°16'17.508 E at 10m depth
