Istanbul, Turkey, 20/01/2020 - Many freight cargo transport ships anchored at the mouth of the Bosphorus waiting for permission to pass through the strait.  Turkish Port authority must approve all ships which pass through the strait, and they require detailed inspection of paperwork and cargo before approvals are provided.  It is not uncommon for ships to wait at the mouth of the strait for 3-4 days before the inspections are carried out and approval granted.  In the mean time, ships have no choice but to wait in the Sea of Marmara, and often there can be 20-30 ships anchored in the area.

Wilayat Muttrah, Muscat, Oman: Al Said mega yacht (IMO 9463774) one of the 8 vessels of the Oman Royal Yacht Squadron, the Sultan's personal fleet of pleasure craft, operated by the Diwan of Royal Court Affairs. The Al Said is a mega yacht with a length of 155 meters. The ship, built under the project name “Sunflower” at the German shipyard Lürssen Werft in Bremen, was launched in 2007 and handed over in 2008. She took the name from the Sultan's previous yacht Al Said (IMO 7908433), built in 1981, which was renamed Loaloat Al Behar and transferred to Oman's Ministry of Tourism. Port Sultan Qaboos (PSQ).
