David’s life was filled with sin, heartache, grief, and forgiveness. David ruled from about 1005 to 965 B.C. and was thought to be the ideal king. He was the writer of Psalms.

Naaman was the commander of the army of Syria. Naaman developed a skin disease called leprosy. Naaman received permission from the king to go to Israel. This angered the king because he did not have the power to heal. Elisha the prophet heard about the letter and asked to meet the man. Elisha told Naaman to wash in the Jordan River.
