Isandlwana, South Africa - May 25, 2014: A Zulu tour guide talks about Isandlwana battle in the Drakensberg in this spontaneous, candid, unposed image, taken while talking to tourists. After invading Zululand in order to topple their ally, the Zulu king Cetshwayo kaMpande, the British Empire army (24th regiment) was attacked in the foothills by the Zulu army on 22 January 1879. 1300 British and their allies were killed, and 1000 Zulu were killed. The British were completely routed and had to re-stage the invasion at a later date.
