It is believed that Islamic philosophers and artists learned about geometry by looking at the works of Greek philosophers and mathematicians, like Euclid and Pythagoras. These lessons allowed them to create the beginnings of mosaic art which are tessellations. Tessellations are created when a certain shape is repeated over and over again. The complexity behind these designs really highlights the beauty and uniqueness of Islamic architecture in its Golden Age.

The Itimad-ud-Daulah, commonly known as the 'Baby Taj,' is an architectural marvel located in Agra, India. Built between 1622 and 1628, this tomb serves as a precursor to the iconic Taj Mahal, featuring similar design elements and intricate marble inlay work. The structure, mainly composed of white marble, is adorned with semi-precious stones and exhibits fine lattice screens. Overlooking the Yamuna River, the Baby Taj is an important landmark that offers valuable insights into the evolution of Mughal architecture.
