Gualdo Tadino, Umbria, Italy, January 06 -- A beautiful scene from the Nativity of Christ and the Adoration of the Three Magi (Three Wise Men or Three Kings) made in period costumes by the people of the medieval village of Gualdo Tadino in Umbria, central Italy. In the image: The Holy Family in the trough surrounded by the biblical Magi, in a scene inspired by the Nativity of Perugino. An important center since Roman times, Gualdo Tadino rises between Foligno and Gubbio along the ancient Flaminia consular road, traced by the Romans. Its history spans the entire Middle Ages and, despite being partially destroyed and sacked several times and placed under the dominion of Perugia, this ancient Umbrian center still retains its medieval charm and traditions. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands.
