Funaoka Castle Ruin Park in Shibata,Miyagi,Tohoku,Japan.About 1,300 cherry trees including Yoshino cherry trees blossom in this park.The park houses the Funaoka Peace Kannon, 24 meters in height, at the site of the castle and Pacific Ocean can be seen from its mountaintop. Also, the view from the 305-meter slope car is truly spectacular. Moreover, the view of the cherry blossoms at Shiroishi Riverside (Hitome Senbonzakura or thousand cherry trees at sight) in front of the park and the Zao Mountain Range in the background is wonderful. It is the only place in the prefecture which was chosen as one of the 100 best-noted places for viewing cherry blossoms.In addition,visitors can also enjoy the views from the Shibata Seno Bridge.The views from the bridge are truely spectacular.
