Lilium lancifolium, commonly called “tiger lily”, is a species of lily, native to East Asia including Japan and China. It is in flower from mid to late summer (July to September). It bears bright and showy, orange-colored flowers covered with black or deep crimson spots, giving the appearance of the skin of tiger, hence its common name.

The anthers are long, narrow, and dark-colored; their pollen is rust-colored.
