This bronze statue, placed in front of the Forum of Augustus, is a copy of the marble original currently preserved in the Vatican Museums. Caesar Augustus was the first Roman emperor, revered as father of the homeland (Patri Patriae) and artecife of a long period of domination, prosperity and peace throughout the empire, known as Pax Romana or Pax Augustea. The Roman Forum, one of the largest archaeological areas in the world, represented the political, legal, religious and economic center of the city of Rome, as well as the nerve center of the entire Roman civilization. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Image in original 4:3 ratio and high definition quality.
