Tokyo, Japan-April 2, 2022:\nPeople are enjoying cherry blossom in full bloom, walking under cherry tree branches hanging over the wide footpath. \nUeno Park is one of the most popular places for cherry blossom viewing in Japan, with about 2 million people visiting the park during the cherry blossom season. \nDue to the COVID-19 pandemic, no drinking, eating and singing are allowed under the cherry trees and all people are asked to wear protective face mask. \nThe species of this cherry tree is called Cerasus ‘Maihime’, which has stronger pinkish color than the popular 'Yoshino' cherry.
