Built in the ancient district of Borgo and later incorporated along Via della Conciliazione, near Piazza San Pietro, this palace was built between 1499 and 1517 to a design by the architect Donato Bramante (1444-1514). Initially commissioned by Cardinal Adriano Costellesi, the building was acquired in the 18th century by the Torlonia family.
