A southern species that has increased dramatically in northern Europe since the mid 1990s.\nHabitat:\nFavors ephemeral conditions even more than other Lestes species, being typical of sites that dry out early in summer, such as dune slacks, meadow pools and shallow depressions.\nFlight Season:\nFrom March to October in the southern Mediterranean, but in the north most adults probably emerge in June and July, reaching the greatest densities in August.\n\nThis Picture is made in a large Rift with a rich vegetation in Flevoland (the Netherlands) in half of June 2021.
