05 september 2023, Illange, Thionville Portes de France, Moselle, Lorraine, Grand Est, France. It's summer. At the entrance to the forest, a Comma Butterfly has landed in the foliage of a tree. The butterfly is in profile, its wings are closed. We can therefore see the brownish underside of its wings, much less visible than the orange upper part. A white comma contrasts in the middle of the brown.
