Tawergha, Libya - Februari 26, 2012: The ghost town Tawergha is situated half an hour’s drive from Misrata that is the closest neighbouring city. When Gaddafi attacked Misrata, many Tawerghans were part of his forces. Today, the two cities are bitter enemies.

The photo shows some of the houses and villas in the suburbs on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The area is still under development so large patches of land are simply sandy lots waiting to be developed. Wide roads with large roundabouts are characteristic of the oversized traffic network with streets devoid of vegetation.

Capital of the Nabatean Kingdom it seamlessly blends Arab style with Hellenistic and Roman or Byzantine architecture. Accessed via Al Siq, a narrow canyon, it contains tombs and temples carved into the pink sandstone cliffs, hence the 'Rose City' The most famous and iconic structure is Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate Greek-style facade, also known as The Treasury
